Hi all, this is the Milviz B737-200 and it's free today for P3d, have it now installed in P3dv4.5 because it's considered to be good since longer. And it's really good, needs a complete startup from cold and dark but it all works and flies well including a good working Sperry AP and so on. Need more liveries now and will do more shots later. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Hi, I'm just wondering if there is any F70/100's roaming around that can work in P3D v4? Jealous of MSFS simmers getting the F70/100 Professional haha. I have really wanted to fly the F100 around Western Australia for a while in the sim doing FIFO flights, but alas, no Fokker 100 that I know of works in the sim. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Got P3D V5.4 on my recently formatted computer. I installed P3D V5.4 and a Boeing 737 with the FSX default VC with edited textures, nothing more. When turning on landing lights at night, I get some heavy graphical glitches with squares blinking on the screen and extremely low FPS. I already tried turning off Enhanced Atmospherics, Dynamic Lights, and HDR Lighting, but nothing has worked so far. Problem here My specs are: Windows 11 23H2 Build 22631.3880 Intel Core i5-1135G7 16GB RAM 1TB NVMe SSD Intel Iris XE 8GB VRAM When flying in daytime, it runs flawlessly at 60FPS with no graphical glitches,. however, when flying at night and turning on landing lights, all those graphical glitches start. I tried everything I could but nothing worked. I couldn't find someone with the same problem on the web, so had to create my own topic about this.

Hi Everyone. I just uploaded the first installment on what I plan to be a series of tutorials that should provide a quick and easy way to get up to speed with Pilot2ATC. We'll be adding to these over time, with lots of screenshots and some tips and tricks of P2A along the way! Many of you have struggled with getting in the air the first time, so this first installment will get you from Clearance Delivery through first contact with Oakland Center in a short IFR flight from San Jose, California to Oakland, California. Probably not a good one for airliners, but grab a good GA plane and take the plunge! You can find it on the Downloads page www.pilot2atc.com/download Just press the View Test Flights button to download the PDF. Enjoy Dave

Hi, I'm looking into getting global scenery for P3D. I have done some research but since P3D v2 is fairly new there isn't that much information available online. So, as much for myself as a reference for other looking at getting global coverage scenery, I would like to ask what options I have. Or rather, is there any alternative to FTX global? According to this link GEX is not and will not in the near future be available for P3D. So I guess GEX+UTX is not an option? I already own a few orbx regions, but FTX global + FTX Vector is an expensive addon so any opinions would be helpful.

ONE TWEAK TO RULE THEM ALL  Like so many of you, I spent more time tweaking and staring at the start-up screen in FSX than actually flying. When I first installed Prepar3D a few weeks ago, I tried so many different ’tweaks’, each proclaiming to be the ‘silver bullet’, the ‘one true setting’, the ‘holy grail’ for perfect visual fidelity and smooth flight. The truth was that none of them worked. They all resulted in blurred ground textures, caused stuttering or made the simulator crash. The problem with all of these ‘holy grails’ is that what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another because we all have a unique combination of hardware and software. Q. If all that you need to make Prepar3D shine is the correct Affinity Mask setting, how are you supposed to figure that out? STEP ONE - USE TASK MANAGER Before you start, remove any [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=xxx entry that you might have made in your Prepar3d.cfg file. Using Task Manager with Prepar3D running in window mode, I can see the computer activity on the eight cores of my cpu, from the left 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. I have a quad core cpu with Hyperthreading enabled, so I see eight visible cores in the CPU Usage History. Looking at the image above, I see a lot of activity on core 3 and a bit of activity on cores 5 and 7. This means that Prepar3D has a preference for those cores on my set-up. Your Task Manager will probably look completely different, it all depends on your unique set-up. I also see minimal activity on cores 1 and 2, which indicates system activity, so I will reserve these two cores, as well as core 4, for the system and other programmes and assign cores 3,5,6,7 and 8 to Prepar3D. 5 cores is plenty for Prepar3D and 3 is fine for the system and other programmes. STEP TWO - CALCULATING THE AFFINITY MASK VALUE I won't try to explain the Affinity Mask setting in detail but you assign the cores backwards using binary code to generate a decimal value. In this case I want to assign cores 3,5,6,7 and 8 to Prepar3D. From the above, you can see that this equals 11110100 in binary. CALCULATING THE AFFINITY MASK VALUE 1. Open the Windows Calculator 2. Click the radio button 'Bin' 3. Click the radio button 'Word' 4. Enter the value which describes the cores you want to use, in my case 11110100 5. Click the radio button 'Dec' and note the decimal number that appears, in my case 244. 6. Open C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Prepar3D.cfg and enter the following at the top. [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=244 244 is my unique value and your value might be the same but if it is different, it does not matter as long as you used the Task Manager to figure out which cores to assign to Prepar3D. 7. Save the Prepar3D.cfg file. 8. If you have an Nvidia Graphics Card, go to Step Three, if you don't, you're ready to fly! STEP THREE - ADAPTIVE VSYNC FOR NVIDIA USERS If you have an Nvidia Graphics Card, enable Adaptive VSync. Selecting Adaptive in Nvidia Inspector will not have the same effect as using the Nvidia Control Panel to set it. 1. Right click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel 2. Under Manage 3D Settings, select the Program Settings Tab 3. Select Prepar3d (prepar3d.exe) from the drop down menu 4. Scroll down and set Vertical sync to Adaptive 3. Save and close the Control Panel 4. Open Prepar3D, start a flight and under Options>Settings>Display>Frame Rate Controls, check that VSync is Off and that Triple Buffer is unchecked. 5. Enjoy your flight Read more here: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/adaptive-vsync/technology ———————————————————————————————————— ———————————————————————————————————— Disclaimer If I fly in bad weather with AI, road traffic and cloud shadows over detailed scenery in a complicated aircraft, I am asking for trouble and my performance will suffer as a direct result. There is no magical setting but there is a computational limit to what our hardware can process in realtime. In five years, maybe the hardware will have caught up with the software. I hope so. I cannot be held responsible for any adverse effects that might arise out of the use of the information presented above. It is presented as is. G'day, Hello! I'm embarking on a fun little adventure with a simulator for a local aero club. I need a little help, advice, admonishing for my goal of running the P3D terrain view across 5 large Plasma displays. I need to be able to do it with one mean mother of a PC and 2 graphics cards (preferably nVidia). The stick paty here is that it needs to be 5 REAL, and separate views that combined will give me 220° FOV forwards and to the sides. I need to know that it can be done, and maybe a nudge in the right direction to get me started. Cheers and thanks for the help! :) Dave

Just as I thought I'd got P3D running beautifully... I'm getting a windows error window popping up every so often about error R6025 then P3D shuts. Searching around the web it appears to be a common occurance with some P3D and older FSX installs. It appears to be something to do with the Microsoft C++ libraries so as advised on other forums I've repaired my latest 2012 version but so far it hasn't totally got rid of the occasional message and P3D crash. Has anyone else here had this error and found a reliable solution? Adam

This is a very boring video of a test flight taking off from Kodiak, AK in the Milviz 310R in Prepar3D v2.2... That is, it's boring after the rather scary takeoff! In any case, focus on the frame rates with both GTN units doing their thing. They add nearly zero load on the sim, which is truly remarkable! Best viewed full-screen in 1080p, recorded with NVidia's Shadowplay.

Hi everyone, My new P3D Sim is now up and running with a fresh hardware and saying bye to my old FSX and the beautiful PMDG 737 purchased some time ago. But, before I proceed with the purchase of the newer P3D version of the 737NG I have to solve a potential problem. I use touchscreen overhead panel for more immersion and training realism and it works fine in FSX, but when I tested the new system in P3D with the old 737NG , the "press & hold right click" was not responding so I am not able to invert switches like the retractable landing light or indeed any of the rotating knobs and they can only be moved to the left. (I was surprised to see the Fsx version working in P3D anyway) I have noticed though that all P3D aircrafts have a different approach to the cockpit moving parts; they use the "grabbing hand" mode to pull or push (and possibly also rotate ?). So If there is anyone out there using P3D with the genuine PMDG 800/900 (p3d version) could they be kind enough to confirm that all knobs and switches can be moved into any position with JUST the left click? If so then my overhead panel would be fully functional with just one finger. That would answer my question and I would confidently purchase the PMDG-p3d version with no worries. Many Thanks to you all in advance Kind Regard Mauro Andreini

I wanted to share with the community a test (one of many) to see just how well P3D works on my new rig, combined with the fabulous scenery from ORBX. I do run all of this from my laptop (haters can go elsewhere), but the point is, is that my rig is just how I want it and now i have a perfect sim running and makes flying a whole lot less aggravating. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B2NiacfrHFltfkF0QWZRSnBtcXF3VUFWR2F2bjdxUEd6N1R2bDRMRko0VXFCbloteDdtTEE&usp=sharing So, in total, I am running P3D v2.5 with ORBX PNW scenery, ActiveSkyNext and the A2A C182. In comparison, I am getting much better frames and better stability. The images aren't the best as they're just examples, but they came from two great flights I had. Two of the images came from one flight over Seattle and KSEA (testing stability over Seattle which was always problematic) and the other was from a flight from KMRY out to Yosemite which I landed at Pine Mountain Lake. -Jim

Landclass - Making Center and South American not Suck
Kuragiman posted a topic in The Prepar3d Forum
So I was doing a flight from KSAT to KPHX and the flight plan took me over El Paso in Texas. And what I noticed with GEX World P3D and UTX 2.0 USA installed is just how absolutely dreadful Mexico looked as I was flying near the border. There was absolutely NOTHING south of the border. All the detailed Vector and Landclass data just ceased to be. Now obviously I know that is going to happen since everything south of the border is just default P3D/FSX scenery and is not being handled by GEX or UTX other than GEX providing textures for the Landclass data. My question is this. As I own GEX World P3D (I own FTX Global also. Not using currently) which does all the texture and night lighting for the world, I know the TEXTURES of Mexico, Baja California and South America as well as all the tropics should be taken care of. What I want to know is are there any landclass products out there that can make central and south America come alive? I saw Cloud9 has their XClass series but without ANY screen shots or any videos to make a judgement I am reluctant to even spend the 10 bucks to find out. SceneryTech seems to be another Landclass solution but they handle Central America in their United States product and I am afraid this will damage all the awesome work UTX 2.0 USA does on their citytech engine and their own coastal and port city landclass as well as rivers, steams and lakes data. Is there anything else out there that can make those regions not look like they were constructed for a 2006 flight simulator? Now Flight1 has UTX Tropical America and Caribbean but I am afraid of it as does not list P3D specifically as being compatible. It does appear in the GEX World P3D interface a plug-in module so maybe it works without problem? Here's the break down: Top Layer - UTX 2.0 USA - Vector Product covering USA. If I want better Vector I need a Vector product for Central and South America. Doesn't appear to be much out there. UTX Tropical seems to cover Mexico, Central America and the Caribbeans now that I am looking. This feels like the best solution as it should plug in with the Gex World Interface. Middle Layer - ????? - Landclass Data. UTX 2.0 USA seems to provided updated Landclass data for the US only, obviously. We need a product for Central and South America here that can make cities appears where they belong, forests where they belong and make mountains look like mountains. This is the goal of this post. UTX Tropical America and Caribbean would take care of this problem? Bottom Layer - GEX World P3D - Terrain Texture. GEX World P3D is handling all texture processing like a good $130 program should. -
With the pending release of an updated version of P3D, AVSIM members who have problems installing 3rd Party Software into updated versions of P3D should contact the vendor for instructions on how to install the software. In most cases the vendor will have to release an updated installer. Please do not use these forums for discussing how to modify a 3rd Party addon to make it work in a later version of P3D. When the new version of P3D is released, it may take some time for 3rd Party vendors to create an installer for the new version. We recommend you keep the current version installed and install the next version in another folder if you would like to continue using your addons. Most likely addon vendors will have new installers or instructions for installing their product(s) soon after the release of the updated P3D version. Some 3rd Party vendors may charge a fee for providing an update to their respective software for installation into later versions of P3D. If this is the case, it could be against the vendor’s EULAs or license agreements for you to attempt to install a current version of their product(s) into a later version of P3D. Discussions regarding those vendors that require a new EULA and/or installer for V3 will be prohibited. Photos and video: Photos and videos showing 3rd Party Software whose EULA would be violated for updated versions of P3D will be removed at the discretion of our moderators. If 3rd Party vendor's software can be installed into later versions of P3D without modification then this information will be allowed and can be discussed. Otherwise it will be removed. Please use this forum to discuss the update to P3D such as installation problems, P3D configurations, display driver configurations, and issues such as those relating to FPS and Virtual Address Space (VAS). Once the 3rd Party Software products have been updated for use in later versions of P3D, you can then begin discussing the addons. Thanks to everyone for your cooperation.

I know there are a lot of VAS topics started in the forum about the T7 but it was in my interest to start a fresh one because the others are not FULLY quite my question/comments B) I am currently at CRZ (FL360) after leaving a default airport (Perth) with normal autogen and normal complexity..I only have FTX Global Base 1.3 installed and all my Vector entries are unchecked in my scenery library a long with all airports except the one I am flying into (as always when flying the T7). I left the airport with about 1.6GBs remaining and all was good...half way into my journey now, I have less than half of that. **warning big picture** http://i.imgur.com/EycHfVy.jpgre I am flying into Flytampa's Athens and I could be possibly hit with an OOM and all I have are default everything expect Global and the T7. From take-off to CRZ in the middle of Saudi Arabia where it is literally all dessert how can I leak almost 1GB - 9hrs in? I thought I loaded almost everything in Perth. Can someone break down why it keeps going less and less and less.....I have BELOW moderate settings, and I'm on a good system as well ([email protected] & GTX980). I have more then compensated my sliders/scenery to just fly this thing without always having to worry about an OOM. I never would of thought being almost all default would ever still risk getting slammed with an OOM. comments, questions, concerns gentlemen?

Isn't it a fun world we live in, where Hackers try to invade a commercial website with the intent of destroying it? -_- I would really like to log into my P3D account. I have some Hotfixing to do. Good Eveing Pilots. I'm Mark & i'm the VCEO at WeGo Airways. We have been running for the last 7months but (like all the rest i guess) looking for new pilots and staff members!! We are a 5 tier airline. 1) Normal passenger operations for our fictional airline WeGo Airways (We even have paints avaliable for FSX users) 2) Cargo Division 3) Executive Division, Flying business jets all around the world. 4) Charter Division. Basically fly where ever you want using any plane in our fleet. 5) WeGo World. Another Passenger division for our fictional alliance. Real world schedules for real world airline. Currently we have 5 airlines in the alliance with 5 more set to join this month!!! Check us out at www.wegoairwaysva.co.uk to find out which airlines we have avaliable for you to fly. Although the type of aircraft you can fly is restricted by rank on passenger operations you can fly any plane in our fleet for any other operations (and earn hours, points and Virtual Money whilst flying them). So you like flying the T7. carry out a few T7 cargo ops and you'll have enough points in no time to fly the passengers. We believe that fly in your sim is a hobby and therefore we allow you to pause in flight (must disconnect from online client). We allow you to fly over night whilst you sleep if you wish. you can fly online or offline if you wish. you only need to file a pirep every 60days and if you cant commit to that just let us no. there is no restrictions on how much time you want off all we ask is you let us know. Although we don't believe in a big staff roster we are always looking for schedule managers which will give you added benefits. (Read our SOP for more info) Any questions please don't hesitate to ask or email us at [email protected] Look forward to hearing from you See you in the skies. Mark VCEO WeGo Airways

With Prepar3D v3 from Lockheed-Martin being released today, I think it might be time to point out a few conditions of 'compatibility' that need to be revealed to the simming public: 1 - If a given addon installs anywhere inside the core Prepar3D folder structure, it's not compatible. 2 - If you need to use something like the Estonia Migration Tool to install, it's not compatible. Believe it or not, if you ensure the addons you install to v3 are compatible... it will prevent you from having to reinstall addons when L-M releases point release updates to v3. So, talk to your addon providers and encourage them to adhere to the v3 addon installation process correctly so that in the end, everyone will be happy. This message brought to you by the letter 'Y' and the number '12'.

I bought the PMDG 737 NGX for Prepar3d last week and I cannot activate the base package from the menu. It comes back with a "ERROR: Cannot connect to the activation server. Check your internet connection" after putting the activation code from the email. My internet connection is fine - I can clearly connect and make a post on this forum. I checked my firewall settings, tried turning it off, and it didn't do anything. Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated, thanks. Donovan Patrick
